Global Justice Action Group

The Global Justice Action Group was formed by congregants to address global concerns.  Work of the Global Justice Action Group includes:

• Fair Trade Members sell fair trade coffee at Coffee Hour after 11:00 service on the second Sunday of the month. Find our more about our supplier Equal Exchange or buy directly from their retail store.
• Peace Together with other peace groups in the South Bay, we promote peace through educational events, influencing legislation and interfaith worship.

The 2006-2010 Study/Action Issue of the UUA is Peacemaking. The UUA Commission on Social Witness offers ways for individuals and congregations to get involved in this process at http://www25.uua.org/csw /issues.htm.

The First Unitarian Church of San José is a Jubilee Congregation.
