Budget Justice: California Interfaith Coalition Legislative Briefing Day

If you want to make your voice heard in Sacramento, you’re invited to join UULM Action Network and the California Interfaith Coalition at the annual legislative issues briefing <http://www.calchurches.org/2008LIBbrochureweb.htm>May 13, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Sacramento. “Opening Our Hands to the Poor and Needy: Budget Justice in California” is the theme of this interfaith lobby day. Please join UUs from across the state and interfaith allies to talk with legislators about the importance of preserving state-funded programs for low-income Californians.

First Unitarian Marches in the Pride Parade Again in 2008!

San Jose Pride Festival and Parade (sanjosepride.com), which celebrates diversity in the LGBT community, will be held on June 14 and 15.  Join us marching behind our Church banner on Sunday, June 15 at 11:00am.  The Church will hold one combined (English with Spanish translation) service at 9:30am on June 15 and afterward walk together two blocks to the Victory Parking Lot at St. John and Market. Or meet us at the parking lot at 10:30am, either way, don't miss this fun and inspiring event!
